PocketRescue ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we never do with it.

🔒 Your files never leave your device. PocketRescue performs all scanning and recovery locally. No file data, disk contents, or recovered files are ever uploaded to our servers.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the service:

Google Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo via Firebase Authentication.
Usage data — we do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics beyond what Firebase Authentication provides by default.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your account information is used solely to:

Authenticate you securely when using the app or the web interface
Associate your PC agent session with your mobile app session during a recovery

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond app functionality.

3. Your Files & Disk Data

PocketRescue reads your connected drive (OTG, SD card, or PC disk) locally on your device. Scan results are stored only on your phone. Recovered files are saved only to your phone's local storage. At no point is any disk data, file content, or metadata transmitted to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Firebase Authentication (Google) — for secure sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Your account information is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time by signing out and contacting us at the address below. Upon deletion, all associated data is removed from our systems.

6. Children's Privacy

PocketRescue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
